In Defense of the $30 and up Candle

"Too Expensive"...

Small businesses are not big box retailers.  We get it.  It's easier to log onto retailer's site and quickly order for sake of convenience.

But in the case of candles, you really do get what you pay for—and what you're paying for in the case of big box retailers is low quality, mass produced candles full with unknown chemicals.

"A $5 supermarket candle probably isn’t going to give you the fragrance of your dreams. These days, if you’re looking for a midpriced good, basic jar or vessel candle, you should expect to pay at least $20 to $30 for an eight-ounce candle, LaVanier says." - Candles are comforting (Koncius, 2020).

It's understandable that those willing to pay top dollar to bring a bit of elegance into their homes have sharp taste, and people tend to be very specific about home fragrance.

This all being said, there are definitely options for those seeking quality-scented, hand-poured wax.

As you make your fall & holiday candle selections, consider shopping with us at Chaos Candle Company. We love to hear from our customers and will answer any questions or concerns you may have.
